Mother's Day brunches and specials

SAN ANTONIO - Brunch is a popular San Antonio past time and this Mother’s Day will see brunch specials all over the city.

Some of the more popular restaurants include Luke, Mash’D, Feast, Ocho and Whiskey Cake.

Musical group South Texas Jazz Duo will bring a little taste of New Orleans to the Alamo City on May 8 at the Riverwalk restaurant Luke, for a culture-filled Mother’s Day buffet.

Creole-inspired dishes like oysters bienville and cast iron baked grits and grillades will be served with traditional favorites like Belgian waffles and eggs Benedict.

Fiesta at Lüke San Antonio Scheduled for April 12th

Lüke San Antonio will be hosting a special Fiesta Medal Release Party on Tuesday, April 12th from 3pm to 8pm (during their usual Downtown Tuesday happy hour).

Chef John Russ has created a Big Easy-inspired menu fit for Fiesta with dishes like NOLA style Baked Oysters, Crawfish and Boiled Corn in a Cup, Shrimp Etouffée Empanadas and Andouille on a Stick among others. The bar will also be offering Lüke’s signature French 75 cocktail paired with a traditional Fiesta medal.

Get Your Fiesta On NOLA-style at Lüke San Antonio

In advance of the biggest party of the year, Lüke San Antonio (125 E. Houston St., 210-227-5853) will host a Fiesta Medal Release Party on Tuesday, April 12, from 3 to 8 p.m.  

How does the party take on its Fiesta spin? Chef John Russ will merge both Nawlins fare with San Antonio flavors so expect NOLA-style baked oysters, crawfish and boiled corn in a cup, shrimp etouffée empanadas and andouille on a stick. Wash it down with a French 75.

The night will also feature tunes from The Spiders Jazz Quintet.
